Liquid Fuels

Liquid Fuels

Liquid fuel is the key for mobile application thanks to the possibility to store enough energy for a long ride. In combination with emission treatment systems, combustion of liquid fuels, gives the same low emission result as combustion of gas fuels. Latest developments of fully synthetic carbon-zero fuels guarantee long life to reciprocating engines which will stay non-alternativeness solution for long-ride marine vessels.

Methanol

Type of Fuel: Sustainable

Methanol is a liquid made from carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen. When it burns, it makes carbon dioxide (CO2) and water, just like many fuels. But methanol can still be sustainable if we use carbon captured from the air. This way, burning methanol doesn’t add extra CO2 to the atmosphere, but just return to atmosphere carbon taken for production of methanol.

Diesel

Type of Fuel: Conventional

Diesel fuel is one of the oldest type of fuel invented for engines running on principle of ignition of fuel by compression. Diesel fuel is result of diffraction of crude oil. Nowadays there are a lot of solutions to decrease impact of diesel on environment and global warming effect such as modern injection systems, exhaust gas treatment systems, additives of bio fuel and cetera.

Heavy Fuel Oil and Crude Oil

Type of Fuel: Conventional

Heavy Fuel Oil is also result of difraction of crude oil and can be used in diesel engine combustion cycle. However use of heavy fuel oil require a lot of additional efforts comparing to diesel such as heating of oil up to 120…140C to have proper viscosity for injection, multystage cleaning of oil before injection, heavy treatment of exhaust gases. This type of fuel mainly used for power supply of remote regions which don’t have an access to natural gas.
